Every Cipher kit starts with the shell. We begin with the wood, the shell layup, and the bearing edges because that's where the character of the instrument begins. From there, every decision is made to complement the drum, not compete with it.
We want the natural beauty of the wood to remain the focus. The finish should add to the drum, not hide it. From a distance, the drums look clean and classic. Up close, and under stage lights, you'll notice the details:
